Mixed & Blended Family
Get ready for a wild ride with Mixed and Blended, the podcast hosted by Carmen and Jose, a multiracial couple who’ve brought together their families and grown in ways they never imagined! Despite a period of separation due to Jose’s incarceration, they didn’t let that break them—if anything, it made them stronger and, well, bigger! Now a family of 10, they’re juggling life as they prepare to hit the road full-time in an RV, raise eight kids, and remodel a house—all while keeping their sanity (mostly) intact. Tune in for laughs, real talk, and a front-row seat to the beautiful chaos of their blended family. Hold on to your headphones—things are about to get interesting!
We offer more than you could imagine.
What can you expect?
When we created our podcast, I knew I wanted to offer more, so I started sharing behind-the-scenes content on social media. But honestly, it still felt like something was missing. So, I took a break to figure out how to make everything flow together. Social media is great for quick glimpses, but it doesn't show the full picture. That's why I decided to start a website and blog—to dive deeper and give you more of the story. I can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to! Don’t forget to join our mailing list for weekly updates!
Relationships
Relationships can be tough, but can they be tough *and* still work? Spoiler alert: yes, they can! We're diving into our own ups and downs and the work it takes to keep our foundation strong. We're here to get real, honest, and maybe a little messy—so you can feel comfortable doing the same. Join the convo, share your thoughts, and, of course, don’t forget to tell your friends and family—we could all use a little relationship therapy, right?
Family
Though our family isn't always under one roof, a challenge we often face, we continue to share what it’s like to be a biracial, blended, and multicultural family of 10. From our everyday adventures to the joys and challenges of co-parenting, we open our hearts and lives to show the beauty and uniqueness of our family. With kids ranging from 17 years old down to our newest little one, there's never a dull moment—and we cherish each one.
Home Life
Hi, I’m Carmen, and let’s just say I used to avoid the kitchen like it owed me money. Baking? Sure, love it! But cooking? Not so much. Now, thanks to Jose, I’m whipping up three meals a day in a *tiny* RV kitchen—yes, you read that right. Somehow, we’re making it work, but someone please send help because I am *not* a chef! On top of that, we’re buying a house while planning to RV full-time next year (because why not?). Between cooking, cleaning, RV tips, renovations, and chasing after the kids, I’m juggling all the things. Oh, and did I mention I’m also running my doula business? Who needs sleep, right? Stay tuned for chaos, creativity, and survival tips!
